I am a London-based bilingual (English & Hindi) media professional with proven experience in multimedia content production, moderation, and investigative storytelling. I have worked with global media and tech organisations, including the BBC, AFP, Twitter (X), and ICFJ, and bring over a decade of experience in media monitoring, digital content verification, and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
I have investigated and exposed coordinated disinformation campaigns, influence operations, organised abuse of information technologies, and harmful online practices. I combine OSINT tools, digital investigation techniques, and traditional journalism to verify information, trace digital footprints, investigate complex networks and narratives, and develop evidence-led multimedia stories.
I hold a master’s degree in Investigative Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, where I developed expertise in investigative research, digital journalism, source development, and evidence-based storytelling. In December 2025, I also completed the Howard Center for Investigative Journalism Editing Programme through an International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) fellowship, further strengthening my editorial leadership and investigative reporting skills.
Since 2018, I have worked with the Google News Initiative (GNI) as a certified fact-check trainer, and have trained more than 500 journalists and media professionals in digital content verification, geolocation, online research, and other practical investigative techniques. My training work is focused on helping journalists confidently assess digital evidence and apply OSINT methods to real-world reporting. Most recently, I delivered OSINT training to the BBC Afghan team, helping strengthen their investigative and verification capabilities and supporting journalists covering local stories remotely from the UK and other bureaus. The programme included weekly workshops and project-based mentoring, providing practical guidance on using OSINT techniques to research, verify, and develop stories in challenging reporting environments.
I have also contributed to international journalism forums as a speaker and panellist, including the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEM) Journalists’ Seminar in 2019 and the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) Conference in 2024. In 2024, I was selected as one of eight journalists from around the world for the ICFJ’s Disarming Disinformation programme, through which I investigated political disinformation and covert influence operations capable of compromising democratic processes.
Currently, I am working as a freelance journalist and research consultant, undertaking investigative projects, digital research, OSINT assignments, training programmes, and collaborative journalism projects. I am particularly interested in cross-border investigations, information integrity, digital investigations, disinformation, influence operations, and the responsible use of technology in journalism.
My diverse background – spanning multimedia production, moderation, and fact-checking – has equipped me with a broad understanding of both editorial workflows and the rapidly evolving digital information environment. I am particularly interested in how technology shapes the way information is produced, distributed, and manipulated, and the impact this can have on journalism, communities, and democratic processes.
